Once on the Abangane you sail north-east to the Chete Safari area, the Sengwe River and can also visit the Matusadona National Park. On the return trip you stop at Elephant Bay before returning to harbour.

This journey provides unparalleled opportunities for game viewing, bird spotting, fishing and experiencing the beauty and magic of the Lake Kariba shoreline. Regular sighting of hippo, elephants and crocodile are common, as well as an occasional leopard.

Bird viewing is prolific and include birdlife such as the Narina Trogon, the Bee-eaters, Kingfishers, Weavers, Angola pitta, Rollers, Flycatchers, Sunbirds and Parrots. The waterfowl and raptors are also many and varied.

So don’t forget your binoculars and cameras.
