A’Zambezi River Lodge

The A’Zambezi River Lodge has the distinction of being the only hotel with a river frontage and jetty site in Victoria Falls.

This recently renovated lodge is located on the bank of the beautiful Zambezi River, 5 kms upstream of Victoria Falls.

With its proximity to the Zambezi National Park and water frontage impala, hippo, buffalo and elephants are often spotted on the grounds perimeter. Sebastian, the resident hippo, can occasionally be seen at night feeding on the lawns. The majority of the rooms have balconies facing the river and swimming pool whilst the rest face the National Park and the gardens.

The A’Zambezi River Lodge has a total of 83 rooms with enclosed balconies set in five 2-storey buildings. All our rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, air conditioning, satellite TV and mosquito repellent.

Amadeus Garden Guesthouse

Amadeus Garden Guesthouse is an owner managed private bed and breakfast guesthouse located in a quiet residential area 3km from Victoria Falls.

The guesthouse is built around a lovely, sunny courtyard with a swimming pool, of which most of the rooms open on to.

There are eleven en-suite bedrooms which are equipped with ceiling fans and safes. Snacks and drinks are available throughout the day.

Bayete Lodge

Bayete Lodge is your ‘home from home”. It is run by Mike & Alex Smith, formerly of Gecko Gardens and Imba Matombo, both of which were in Harare.

This is a newly renovated lodge with spacious rooms of a high standard. As it is our home, the lodge specialises in personalised attention and is very good value for money.

Bayete Lodge is situated 2km from Victoria Falls Centre and 22km from the Airport. This family-run lodge has 25 rooms set in a lush tropical garden. Placed in the centre of the lodge grounds is a large teardrop pool which is surrounded by the Caldecott Boma and Ngwezi Tavern.

Breakfast is served daily in the Caldecott Boma. Lunch and Dinner are also available on special request. As we are not a restaurant, and this is our home, dinner is delicious home cooked food. Also available are mouthwatering buffets and braai’s (BBQ’s) for group bookings or by special request.

Chundu Island Tented Lodge

Chundu Island Tented Lodge is 21km upstream from the majestic Victoria Falls and forms part of the Zambezi National Park.

The island is over 1km in length and offers fantastic birding and wildlife experiences, both on the island and on the mainland.

Accommodation is in 6 tented rooms alongside the river bank. The canvas tents are positioned on wooden platforms each with their own private decks affording perfect views of the Zambezi River and surrounding National Park. As the tents are located under the islands most magnificent trees, shade is abundant.

All rooms are equipped with extremely comfortable twin beds, a large en suite bathroom with a rustic outdoor shower and fans.

Transfers are done from Victoria Falls town to Chundu Island Tented Lodge on 4×4 game drive vehicles. Transfer times vary from an hour to an hour and a half, depending on how much wildlife is seen on the way. Guests are then transferred onto a boat for a short trip across the river to the island.

Cresta Spray View Hotel

The Cresta Spray View Hotel is situated just 1.4 km from the Victoria Falls Rain Forest entrance.

It is the perfect gateway for adventure seekers exploring the resort town of Victoria Falls and its surrounds. The name “Sprayview” derives its name from the spray thrown up from the majestic wonder of nature, The Victoria Falls, which rises like a column of smoke and can be seen from the hotel. The waterfall is locally referred to as “Mosi-oa-Tunya”, the “Smoke that Thunders”.

All the modern amenities such as room service, satellite television, conference facilities, a business centre and Wi-Fi in public areas are available.

The Cresta Spray View Hotel accommodation includes 60 standard rooms, as well as 3 suites and 2 family rooms. All rooms are fully air-conditioning to combat the soaring summer temperatures that can be experienced. In-room tea and coffee making facilities, as well as personal safes, hairdryers and universal plugs make guests feel at home.

Elephant Camp

Elephant Camp is a luxurious intimate lodge set in its own private game reserve.

This fact allows for close-up encounters with the surrounding wildlife. The camp is within easy reach of Victoria Falls and all its attractions and activities. Access to the camp is by road transfer from Victoria Falls. The distances are 15 km from Victoria Falls Airport and 10 km from Victoria Falls town, Livingstone, and Kasane.

The suites are all equipped with indoor and outdoor showers, huge baths, private decks, private lounges, plunge pools, mini bar and tea/coffee stations, overhead fans. air conditioning and they are all mosquito proofed.

The Elephant Camp overlooks a waterhole that is fed by natural streams. In the rainy season the rain waters rush down to meet the Masuwe River, and on to the Zambezi gorges below the Falls. Boundless photographic opportunities are provided on our walks in addition to the variety of activities that are available in Victoria Falls.

Gorges Lodge

Gorges Lodge is uniquely situated on the edge of the Zambezi River Gorge, just a few kilometers downstream from Victoria Falls.

All of our chalets are positioned along the precipice of the gorge with verandas providing breathtaking views overlooking the river.

There are 8 twin and 2 double chalets. All 10 chalets are en-suite stone and brick thatched en-suite. Four of the chalets are double storey, with a bedroom upstairs and a bath and dressing room below. The other 6 chalets are single floored.

Transfers to and from Victoria Falls can be arranged.

Ilala Lodge Hotel

Dine out on the patio at “The award-winning Palm Restaurant” , sip a chilled glass of wine whilst listening to the roar of the mighty Victoria Falls in the back ground. The Palm restaurant offers a tantalising a la carte menu and guests are welcome to make use of the on-site spa facilities, relax around the sparkling swimming pool or at the pool bar.

Cruise along the Zambezi River on the luxury “Ra-Ikane” watching the sunset whilst sipping a chilled glass of wine. The Ra-Ikane is like the Rovos rail of the Zambezi River, with teak and leather furnishings. This is an intimate luxury boat cruise, inclusive of premium brand drinks, executive snacks, transfers and river usage fees.

Imbabala Safari Camp

Imbabala Safari Camp is situated on a riverine fringe of the mighty Zambezi River where Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia and Namibia converge.

Located 80 kilometers west of Victoria Falls, Imbabala offers not only the chance to unwind but also some of the most amazing game viewing and bird watching in the region, all within the seclusion of a private National Parks concession.

The 5,000 acre concession has 14 kilometers of private Zambezi river frontage and borders the Chobe Forest Reserve, which is world renowned for its massive Elephant population. With no fences to prevent animal movement, you can expect to see lots of game and wonderful birdlife along the river bank in and around the lodge.

Accommodation at Imbabala Safari Camp is in individual, thatched, en suite chalets with verandas and scenic river views.

Activities include both land and water activities. Morning, afternoon or night game drives, fishing and river cruises.

Lokuthula Lodges

The Lokuthula Lodges are just three kilometers from Victoria Falls. 37 luxury thatched lodges bask in the unspoilt African bush overlooking the beauty of the Zambezi National Park.

The accommodation has two and three bedroom options. These rustic, self-catering lodges sleep up to six or eight guests – making them ideal for family getaways.

All of the Lokuthula Lodges are fully furnished and equipped, right down to your personal braai (barbecue) area, and are serviced daily by friendly housekeeping staff. All linen is provided and, for your convenience, swimming towels are supplied at the Boma next to the pool.

Nguni Lodge

Nguni lodge is a unique, up market and modern African themed boutique lodge situated in the quiet suburban areas of Victoria Falls.

Our Boutique Lodge offers fourteen rooms, 6 deluxe rooms, 7 standard rooms and 1 family room. The neat and spacious deluxe rooms each have their own unique style and decor, which is suited to individuals who love the extra little touch. Each room has a well-appointed spacious sitting area inside the room and on their own outside veranda. All rooms have glass doors opening out into the garden areas; they are all fitted with air-conditioning, a dresser, luggage racks and clothes stands. The bathrooms are newly fitted with large walk in showers, fresh linen and all amenities supplied.

Our seven spacious and luxury standard rooms are all garden facing rooms with overhead fans, en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, luggage racks and clothes hangers, all rooms are fully equipped with comfortable beds, new and fresh linen and all amenities are provided. We offer one Family room with a King size bed and one bunk bed, with two singles. Our Family room is able to accommodate a family consisting of two adults and two children 13 years and below.

Old Ursula Camp

Old Ursula Camp is a smaller and more private option to her sister accommodation, the 5-star Stanley and Livingstone Hotel, which is on the same concession approximately a 10 minute drive away.

This camp is perfect for families and small groups. Guests can self-cater and make use of our braai facilities or enjoy delicious meals on a full board basis. The entire camp can be booked exclusively.

Accommodation is 4 A-frame thatch chalets. Each classic unit has views of the waterhole and lush Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve. The chalets consist of 1 main suite with a lovely lounge area, 2 twin chalets and 1 double chalet, all with en-suite facilities.

Stanley and Livingstone Hotel

Situated on a 6,000 acre private reserve, just 13kms from Victoria Falls, the Stanley and Livingstone Hotel caters to the most discerning guests.

The lush gardens, sparkling swimming pool and water features makes this truly, an oasis in the African bush.

Accommodation consists of 16 Suites, 10 Double Suites, one of which is a Honeymoon Suite. There are also 6 Twins including 2 inter-leading rooms consisting of 1 Double and 1 Twin. Each suite consists of a spacious bedroom, en-suite Victorian-style bathroom, lounge and individual secluded patio. The Victoria Falls Hotel

The Victoria Falls Hotel is 5 star and a superb Edwardian establishment on the edge of the Batoka Gorge which overlooks the Victoria Falls railway bridge.

It is conveniently situated in Victoria Falls Town within walking distance of all the craft markets, shops and the Falls themselves. Upon arrival, you have a sense of stepping back in time.

The rooms are decorated to an old English theme and are very stylish. They have beautiful four-poster and canopied beds, antique furniture colonial prints on the walls. Included are quite a few modern amenities such as satellite TV’s, mini-bars, air-conditioning, bathrobes, tea/coffee making stations, hairdryers, telephones and even umbrellas for those rain forest and waterfall visits (where you can get very, very wet!)

The Suites and the Deluxe Rooms are found in the original section of the The Victoria Falls Hotel and have some of the most incredible views of the gorge and historical bridge. These rooms have all the conveniences of the standard rooms, but offer more luxury, space and little extras.

Victoria Falls accommodation does not get better than this.

With a Gallery Bedroom upstairs, affording a superb vista over unspoilt bushveld and spectacular African sunsets, the Safari Suites are an additional room type for the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge.

The Victoria Falls Safari Suites are ideal for families, small close-knit groups and couples who seek extra space and comfort. On offer are 3-bedroom and 2-bedroom options, all of which have en-suite facilities. Each suite has a spacious lounge with floor-to-ceiling sliding doors leading out onto a patio.

All of the Victoria Falls Safari Suites are split-level and beautifully appointed. Breakfast for guests are served in the MaKuwa-Kuwa Restaurant located in the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. By prior arrangement a continental breakfast basket can delivered to the Safari Suite.

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge

At present Zambezi Sands Tented Lodge has 8 luxury tents – these comprise of 1 double (kingsize bed) and 7 twin (double beds). Each lodge comes with their own private splash pool.
